Ever wanted to write in an old book? The Scary (or "Eerie," or "Spooky," depending on the translation from the original German title: Das unheimliche Buch) is a collection of spooky stories, put together by editor Felix Scloemp, and published by Georg Mueller of Munich, in 1920. The book eventually made it onto the list of subversive literature, leading up to WWII, and would've been subject in its day to the book burnings of the Nazi Party, in Germany. Illustrations in the word were contributed Alfred Rubin, and contributors to the collection included: Heinrich Mann, Frédéric Boutet, Gustav Meyrink, Edgar Allan Poe, J.P. Jacobsen, and E.T.A. Hoffmann. It's also known for having one of the most beautifully designed covers in early 20th centory horror, featuring a bat carrying a skull. And it's perfect for housing your own spooky TBR. This line of journals is created by digitizing the covers of old, obscure, and otherwise vintage books. While it may not include an old book smell, it's perfect for your schedules, to-do lists, starting a new bullet journal, sketching over coffee, recording your adventures, or whatever other creative uses you can find for them. Each journal lets you record your writing on heavyweight, archival 24 lb. Bond paper to keep bleeding at bay, and comes in ruled, blank, or grid options. .: One size: 4.8" x 7.36" (18.7cm x 12.2cm) .: 128 pages (64 sheets) .: Full wraparound print .: 90 gsm paper .: Choose between ruled, graph or blank paper
