Our art prints are sourced from obscure works, and are ones you won't find anywhere else. Combining our love for design with our passion for books, these prints make the perfect gift for the bookworm or bookish artist in your life.
This piece is representative of the unique style of William Thomas "W.T." Horton (1864-1919). Horton's minimalistic, usually monochromatic, sensibilities share a spirit with another famed illustrator of the period (Aubrey Beardsley, and we have prints of his work too), but have a unique style that's dark, dreamlike, and sensual, rather than the surreal celebrations of the grotesque of Beardsley. Horton found inspiration in his studies of the occult, alongside another famous occultist and close friend - William Butler Yeats - who penned the introduction to Horton's most famous collection, "A Book of Images," and sponsored his initiation into the Golden Dawn. His particular kind of dreamy magic is perfect for anywhere you care to dream.
